This is my first post so forgive me if my youth, or lack of knowledge concerning this idea is blatantly apparent.
So the other night I was sitting at my desk in the wee small hours of the morning with a deck of cards in front of me and I was fooling around with Bannon's trick (which happens to be one of my favorites). I finished it up and was like "this doesn't have to end with a straight suit of cards." So I started entertaining, the idea of doing it with Phone Numbers and other number sequences somewhat stealing the idea from I believe Joshua Jay. I know clever right...haha Just curious...has anyone out there done this effect successfully with another number sequence. I'm really looking forward to the opportunity to try it with a Phone number |

Haven't done it, but it sounds like you are thinking creatively. Keep it up! John

You mean eliminate the part with the spectator taking a card and just split the deck into four, shuffle face up into face down, and have a phone number revealed?
Yeah that would work, give it a go. Hard to beat the original routine though |

Didn't Joshua Jay do a version of Play it Straight with a phone number?

Yea Joshua Jay did a version with a Phone Number but it wasn't Play It Straight Triumph it was a different triumph routine. What I liked about this idea better than his was they see the cards go face up into face down, and you get the double effect of their card completeing the phone number sequence, and the phone number being theirs
