Mary et al, Can I get a credit for my previous identity, please?
It is NOT a worry if I can't. But it would be nice to get access to the other parts of the Forum that I had when I was amagician. I am still a magician but I am tasmagic here now since my other drive and 2 Zip disks beame corrupted. I still won't be getting here as often as I would like for a while; I finished revising the Card Mondor autobiography but I have 2 other (non-magic) books on the go right now. So my prospects for making a hundred meaningful posts in a fairly short time at the moment are as good as the chance of winning the lottery.

Hi John,
I can change your amagician username to tasmagic if you want. That would probably be the easiest solution. I'm confused as to why you registered under a different username. If you can tell me what you wanted to accomplish by this, I can help you better. There is a way to give you "credit" for the posts you made under your other name, but to be quite honest, I am not going to search through 200,00 + posts and manually edit the database entries neccessary to make it happen! It's too time consuming, and there are better ways to accomplish what I think you want. |

Mary, all I want from any change is access to those sections of the Forum that I don't have with a current credit of 18 instead of 140+ (I looked one of my amagician posts on the Board to get that figure).
I logged in with another name just after having a hard drive and 2 back-up Zips disks become corrupted. Why I went that way instead of contacting you through GMB I don't know. It was a very fraught time because I was under deadline pressure with some stuff, as usual. I had no access to this Forum at all and my address book was on the bad drive along with most of my emails! None of this is at all important. If something can be done without trouble to you, fine. If not, then please don't go any further with this. It's no more than a minor inconvenience to me. Thanks.

Hi John,
Click on my avatar here and send me an email. Tell me what you want your password to be for the username amagician. I'll change the password directly in the database, and you can log in as amagician again, and have access to the restricted areas. Also, check your optusnet.com.au email - I'm going to resend your "welcome" letters for your hosting accounts so you will have that information available again. |
