Hi, I'm looking to learn some pen manipulation/flourishes. First, I want to learn the charge. Also called the charge normal. I do not think I'm doing it right. Because it seems too easy. I've heard this takes considerable practice to do right. Maybe I am doing it right and am just quick to pick it up because I can do flourishes such as the coin roll backwards and forwards, 2 coins at a time coin roll, etc.
Here's a video of me doing it. Anyone familiar with pen manipulation please let me know. Thank you! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iW9DmEzDYmc |

You might need a heavier item. Check out this video she describes how to do it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXD74rUmssE&feature=related

Eddy,
Nice effect and great creativity. Some of the best visual magic comes from the simplest of techniques. I also thank you for freely sharing this with others. I appreciate that. Kyle

HI guys, thanks for the compliments on Crayon Caper. I hope you are able to get some use out of it. Keep working at your flourishes too. I know when I'm learning something new, especially a flourish that sometimes it just takes repetition to finally get it.
A lot of flourishes take a certain knack to learn, just review some videos on the move itself to make sure your mechanics are correct. You will get it. All the best. Eddy Ray |
