I purchase all my I.T.on yard spools. I have always used wooly nylon.
I am unable to effectivly strip This Kevlar using the same method.
Some tips would be great. I am stuck here looking at this 375 yard of kevlar. hehehe
I am amazed this Kevlar is more invisible than my nylon.

This reminds me of the thread I used to use.

Here was my solution...

Step one... cut to length that you use.
Step two... strip into halfs.. take your time.
Step three. strip into halfs again.. take your time.
Step four.. now you should be able to do it like your nylon.

Thanks, very much for you advise. Your approach works well, but as you said, you must take your time. I have found a much faster method which works much easier for me.

Step one, cut the desired length off the spool.

Step two, find one strand use wax, flesh putty, or tape and stick the end of the strand to the wall as high as you can reach, this will make it easier if working with 6 to 8 foot length.

Step three, slowly pull the grouped strands back and walk away from the wall, you must keep the line from tangleing so use a loose grip. Pull them from the very end once you get it going. Keep pulling till the single strand attached to the wall is free.

Step four, Walk back to the wall find the line at the point it is attached to the wall and glide your hand down to the other end of the line. Stick a ball of wax/putty to the end. You now have a nice length of line with both ends marked.

I did the above 3 times and now I am striping this faster than I had striped the nylon.

I have heard a lot about kevlar being reflective more so then nylon, but with the material I have here this is not the case. I am able to use this indoors in well lighted rooms and it is still invisible. Out doors the sun light kills it
ofcoarse but in the shade or right around dusk it is very invisible. Over all this stuff simple kills any nylon I have used. Nice and strong too.

This is the stuff I use.

I don't buy it there... it's just the first place I found.

To strip this stuff, you have to use the method I told you.

But yes... always hang it on the wall.

Thanks so much for you help Randi.

I actually do have some spider thread, I have not used it yet.
But I just might pull it out and give it go. If I like it I will have to find a bulk supplier.
