Pete Biro wrote a great booklet called the Hindu/Indian Cups and Balls and Eddie Joseph also wrote one called the Hindu Cups. These are the only resources that I know of for the Hindu/Indian style Cups and Balls.
Are there other Hindu/Indian style Cups and Balls routines in print or on DVD? I originally had this posted in the Books, Pamphlets & Lecture Notes of the Magic Café and had a few responses but Bill Palmer suggested that I would get more response to this question by posting it in the Ever so sleightly section because that is where the cups and balls people hang out. In the Books, Pamphlets & Lecture Notes section, Fishwasher and Richard Paddon mentioned that Swami Mantra written by Sam Dalal had a Hindu/Indian cups and balls routine. Also Peo Olsson mentioned a DVD with Charlie Miller and Johnny Thompson that had various versons of cups and balls including a Hindu/Indian cups and balls routine. Thank you.

Morrisey still sells Indian cups with cork balls along with Charlie Miller's routine.

Indian Cups and Balls Primer by Sam Dalal Published by M/s Mamdev and Sons Ltd in Calcutta is a good resource if you can find it

Walid: Thanks for the link to Shankar Jr.'s page. He taught me a lot about presenting the Indian Cups.

I don't know the earch link but there are a couple of videos of the real work on you tube showing street workers in India. Most are pretty simple routines with lots of spectator byplay.

Pete Biro has certainly been coming up a lot lately in resurrected threads...
I guess when you made 18k+ posts, most of which were quality content, it's bound to happen. Still, it chokes me up a bit. I miss good ol' Pete.

One of the best sources of information about the Indian cups was Gary Koznitsky, who, alas, has left the building. He learned the entire "Cheppum Panthum" routine, complete with patter in the original language, which may have been Hindi or Sanskrit. He made the correct cups for the routine. There is a video of him performing it somewhere on the internet. The link I have does not work any longer.

Gary's cups are still available from some of the dealers. Penguin is listing them as still in stock. You can also see the video there.

Is there a writeup for those who don't wish to sit cross legged ? i.e. how to do the routine setup and using the case from which you take the cups, a **elf, or such?
