We sell a number of the Extreme Burn DVDs.
They are one of the most popular lately and the effect when done correctly, is quite amazing - even to magicians. The DVD is well produced, and the effect is rather easy to make and master. For those looking for very strong money magic, I endorse this DVD 100%

JP83, there is a little thing added to the gimmick that makes a huge difference. Richard actually re-teaches Slow Burn in the Extreme Burn DVD as well.

Extreme burn takes all the prior methods and improves upon them, and adds a gimmick that brings the effect much more "snap".

I looked at your profile, and it did not tell where you live. That's too bad. It would have helped me on my research paper -- the proposed title is Trolls, and the Bridges Where They Live.

Seriously Moose, do not expect anyone here to reveal the working of Extreme Burn. You best bet would be save your money and purchase the effect.

How would you go doing this trick with Australian money because the notes are different lengths?
|
|||||||||
JP83 New user 8 Posts |
I've found the same with UK notes. This effect at the moment is largely useless to me as I haven't had time to go find somewhere I can get some notes that work.

How about using "flash bills". Touch them with a cigarette,lighter or match for a grand finale.

There seem to be two levels bad magic performances on YouTube: 1.) the dope makes a video of himself performing the trick an hour after he first opened the package from Penguin Magic or Ellusionist . He has now virtually exposed the trick anyway by his poor performance , so an intentional exposure is not really necessary... OR 2.) the dope spends a long time practicing the trick (like maybe 2 hours ! OMG such dedication!) and then makes a video of himself performing the trick and as an ADDED BONUS gives his "tutorial" reveal video for all his loyal fans . ( you see anyone who tells you a secret is a teacher and their video is by definition a tutorial . These tutorials are usually posted by users with names like MagicGuruKid and MagicMaster666 or LikeCrissAngel24/7 . Extra points if the video is made with an out-of-focus, low-res. web cam which cuts off the user's head and he says "m'kay" and "uh, like ... like, so, like ..." a lot .) Unfortunately No. 2 seems to have become de rigueur among most of the YouTube Magic Geeks. It is apparently thought to be obligatory to include the "tutorial" as the follow-up to the performance. In a bizarro world reversal of the traditional Magician's Code the new Code says it is bad form not to show how you just did a trick , but don't call it exposure, dignify it by calling it a "tutorial" . |

I have both "Slow Burn" and "Extreme Burn". While Slow Burn is great, Extreme Burn is fantastic. It is far more visual and immediate and establishes your magic credentials right away. It is one of those effects that comes off as looking closest to real magic.
I have actually seen several magician friends perform this trick. Even knowing how it works does not take away from the beauty of the effect. It really is just that good. I highly recommend that you save your pennies and get Extreme Burn. Such a stunning and visual effect is well worth having in your arsenal.

Just an idea you could use monopoly money for this as others have said but in the patter start talking about the economic downfall or something like that and say that soon monopoly money is going to be worth more than real money

Everyone who does this trick should be aware of the original: Patrick Page's Easy Money. Great great great trick and I think the original handling of going from cut up scrap paper to money is better in some ways than going from money to money.
