Tomorrow I'm sterilizing the gear and whipping up a batch of English Pale Ale. This is my first try at brewing, so, I have to come up with a cool name for my bottle labels; any ideas (a magic theme would be nice)? Straitjacket Ale? I wanted to make a lager, but, I don't have a place with low enough temperatures to pull it off. Cheers

Satans Spit.
Kregg, have you ever heard of Pete's Ale? It is a local brand in the San Francisco area. He started out at home. He actually got stuff to make wine and when he got done he had to set it to age etc so he didn't know what to do with all the equipment he bought. He found out how to convert it to beer making and he did, quit Rolm, and because rich....cool huh? |

I have a few warehouses with extra space. If I have fun with it ... who knows?
By combining Photeus & MagicSantas names ... how about Imp Ale?

An image of those great Carter posters with the Imp whispering in his ear would be a cool inspiration for a label, with a bit of modernity. But, the play on words are great too.

How about "Houdini's Get Out Of Jail Ale"
Great to hear that you are homebrewing, that is one of my little hobbies as well. If you have not already done so, try brewing a Belgian Wheat beer, always comes out good, and gets better with age. A slogan for the jail ale could be...Jail Ale for those times you just have to escape... O.K., I'm going back to my Cold IPA and the air conditioning. all the Best Marty |
