http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDrNe7qJGnc I recently saw the arm writing done a couple times by Rich (who I believe has an account here and I hope he will post). I really love this concept of having written on a spectators arm, seemingly before they thought of their word (or card, or anything else). If anyone could direct me to a method for pulling this off I would be most grateful. Many thanks. Daniel |

Hey there Daniel.. I found something in a little booklet that may be of interest to you. If anyone else is interested, PM me and I'll give you names. The booklet is only about 60 pages and has some other effects with pocket writing and a marked deck.

D,
Greetings... this is Rich. Unfortunately, there are few original methods under raps for another couple months.. however, I will be exploring the ideas in depth with many of you later this year and I'm not at liberty to say much more for a couple months... not long:) I'm heading out of the country this week until the end of August as well. Please stick tight, it will be very worth the wait. I've had many people email over the years about rights, insight, etc to this effect. I will say that there are few effects that cause an audience member to shake or cry. I think it hits a great right brain and left brain conflict. They instantly try to comprehend that they have been touched somewhere and at the same time they are confused and dazed at the mind reading, etc. Again, years of trouble shooting and experimenting will be coming your way soon enough. Good stuff. It's like having your watch taken but when you look at your arm your wearing someone elses watch. This stuff will "freak peoples freak" as Ellen would say! On much more current news, I did release a really cute/cool iPhone trick called iScan yesterday. Very simple and fun. Just check out my product page for info. http://www.RichFerguson.com or see a sample at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxkpFLC7wQg Anyone can email me personally or hit me up here about it. Cheers. R

Rich is a good friend and, having worked with him, I can attest that the arm writing bit is one of those things that people talk about after he leaves. It's absolutely astounding.

I just got this from a newsletter from Ellusionist.
"Post production has wrapped up with 2 projects from Rich Ferguson. Rich will be stopping by the Ellusionist forums soon to have a Q&A session with everyone on the release of his closely guarded effects. Check out Rich in action. " I bet you this is going to be good! |

Sounds great! But why publish through ellusionist? seems like a bad idea to me. Still, can't wait.

Fine by me. The writing on arm needs a lot of misdirection, so the average 14-year old will need to put some time into it, without being caught.
This will be so much fun to perform. Thank you Rich! |
