Hi all,
I am looking for this puzzle. You form the back of a playing card with 5-6 pieces. You remove one piece and spectator can clearly see that one piece is missing (let say a corner). When you turn aroud the pieces (except the one you just remove), you can make the face of the card. I would like to buy this effect if its possible somewhere. thanks |

I can't find a playing card version of this, but here's a magic square version by Werner Miller.
Robert E. Neale and David Parr wrote a book together called The Magic Mirror. In it, the effect "Walking Through A Brick Wall" deals with the paradox you're talking about. |

The best is with a bill. You can't use the newer bills for it, just the older type with the photo centered.

Check out the 'Queen of Illusion Puzzle'. A commercial version is available at http://www.archimedes-lab.org/index5.html. The same website also offers a free template for making your own at http://www.archimedes-lab.org/workshopqueen.html.
Enjoy, Richard |
