I can finally announce it!
Sort of a sequel to the Amateur Magician's Handbook, it's A Magical Upbringing: Collected Letters and Articles of June Barrows Mussey. Thanks to the help of his wife Dagmar, we get to see more of his early life, of -- Oh, do I have to gush about this book? Professionals, semi-pros, and hobbyists alike owe a great debt to JBM (aka Henry Hay) and if you got anything out of his previous books (and if you read them, you got something out of them) then you'll find this a worthy and meaty companion. It's everything I'd hoped it would be, and it finishes with a nice epilogue by (cough, cough) yours truly. You'll find that, even at an early age, not only was young Mussey firmly determined to make his own future, but that he was a great thinker and writer. Through personal letters to and from him, from his mother to friends, and -- Oh, just get it. If you liked any of Mussey's stuff - whether under his own name or under the name of "Henry Hay," then you'll love this. http://tinyurl.com/5cobeo *jeep! --Grandpa Chet
