From Kevin Parker's new site , http://www.illcenter.com
Price: $17 Format: Downloadable video I am a big fan of card thru window and have at one time or another owned almost all of them. The last one I bought was by Geoff Weber which was a nice effect. I was looking forward to Axcess however that has been delayed so I purchased Isolation to feed my CTW fetish. The effect is true to the demo, the card is signed and the effect is impromptu however that is where the good news ends. This is horribly angly. In order for it to look magical the spectator has to stand a fair distance away from the glass. The body blocking is also very obvious that you are concealing something and there's a good chance you will flash when you bring your hands into the position. I don't want to expose anything but there's an extremely knacky grip in which you hold the card; most of the time the card just shoots out as soon as I put it into the grip. The video itself is typical Kevin Parker quality, crap. The shot framing is strange. I know magicians' don't like to show their face on video but this guy does show his face while performing the effect then during the explanation his face is cut off at his mouth. You can even hear someone come in the house during the video ,lol. The teaching is rushed, he glosses over the important stuff like the grip saying something like "just play around with it". That's not good enough when you ask me $17. Do you know how many beers I could have got for $17 ? To sum up. The idea is there, however the angles, suspicious body blocking and the knacky grip don't make it worth the effort. Franks Rating System: How many beers from my 6-pack is this trick worth ? out of 6. Thank you for reading. |

Thanks. There's one rating for 0 .which is a punch in the head for the creator if the effect is so bad that it gets a 0

Would you say the angle problems is something that can be resolved with a little restructuring to the method? Also, how is version 2, where you make the card come back in? Is that as angly as version 1? As far as impromptu signed card through windows go, KAOS is still the champion, in my opinion. Evikshin |

KAOS is great, but I don't impromptu it a huge selling point for CTW routines for a lot of magicians.

I did get this effect and agree with Frank's assessment, it is angly and here's not much that can be done about it.
Unfortunately Axcess has been delayed indefinitely, sad really because that method allowed for a 5 second set up to a visual Card Thru Window. |

Is the method as simple as it looks?
This did not look that good at all to me. |

The only hard to figure out part is the grip. It's obvious you somehow took the card to the other side. The grip, as Frank said, is angly and will give it away.
