Hello everyone.
I have been reading the Café for a little while now without really engaging in conversation except for a question here or there. As my profile says I registered several months ago. I figured since I am beginning to post a little more actively it was a good idea to make an introductory post. I guess to start off, I am a high-school student from Alaska. I have had an interest in magic for quite some time but only recently have I made the switch from "looking to be entertained" to "looking to entertain" if you know what I mean. Even though I only started practicing magic recently I have found it somewhat hard to keep a constant schedule of practice leading to many lengthy periods of down-time. If some of you have tips on that you are willing to share I would greatly appreciate it. When I am actively practicing my magic I have been using cards working through Royal Road and Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic. Recently though I have begun practicing the sponge ball routine in Complete Course in Magic. So far I don't consider anything to be "performance ready" as I like to call it because of my lack of practice. Sorry I am kind of rambling here. If you have any questions feel free to ask and thank you for your time. |
