It's always nice to stumble onto a new magic meeting place, so hello to all who pop in for coffee!

About 18 months ago my then 4 year old twins rushed home from school after seeing a magician for the first time. "Dad, can you do magic?" they asked. There it is, the point where my addiction began!

So I'm a late starter with regards to magic but enjoy every second of dropping cards and fumbling with classic palms.

I now perform as 'The Great Si Moano' - a kid's entertainer. My other main magical interest is within mentalism and mindreading. My professional background is counselling and psychology so mentalism has a great appeal to me.

I still consider myself to be very much an ignorant beginner and from lurking here for a while I know that this will be a great place to learn.

Warm Regards - Simon

Hello Dad,
I think it is the most suitable type of calling someone who becomes a magician for the sake of his children.
"Late is better than Never" so welcome to the magic world and have a coffee while enjoying the Cafe. Smile Smile Smile

Welcome aboard, Simon.
Don't worry about being a "late starter".
After all, nobody was BORN knowing this stuff!
And there are plenty of people here who are willing to help.
cheers,

Welcome! You have come to the right place and you said the magic word mentalism. Come on over and join us at the mentalist's table and join in the discussions. It's the table in the corner by the window under the sign that says, "A Penny For Your Thoughts," but I sense you already knew that.

Welcome Simon,

What a wonderful Father who actually listens to his children! A noble motive for your beginning friend, and we all start at the same place; the beginning.

Glad you chose to join us. I look forward to reading your contributions.

Welcome,
I started my magic carrer late as well. It can be very rewarding. Learning late in life is a benifit, you can afford to seek out the council of the masters and are wise enough to benifit from them. Smile
