This is almost too good to give away - but I'm feeling a bit generous today. I'm not sure what the situation is regarding the availability of a "proper" wireless remote control for the ipod is, but - I've been playing around with the Timex Ironman wristwatch. Controls the volume, fast fwd, reverse, pause, stop, go from the watch.

Bit of a bald statement, but can you see the possibilities here? Anyone who an ipod for music, or requiring prompting in their act (Puppet stuff, vanishing bandanna, etc)can surreptitiously control it from their wrist.

Timex do a range of watches called "Ironman", and one specifically for controlling the ipod. It only works with the older types of ipod - check it out. There are loads of them available on eBay.
One of the interesting features is the fact that you can lock the normal controls of the ipod, and control it exclusively from the watch.

Cheers...

I found the manual.

The i-Control® watch is designed to operate up to a range of about
10 ft. (3 m). Range will be affected by watch and iPod battery voltage.

I think that range is a little short.

:D

but I liked the idea, very much

It will operate over a distance more than that, but it becomes erratic. Nothing quite like an erratic magician... Smile

I had it working at around 20 ft, but it had to be "pointed" in the direction of the ipod.

Cheers!

I like it. I like them so much, I have two of them I wear all the time. Make sure you get the right model for your ipod. Won't work with the Ipod classic, because of the input limitations. Just need to be sure you're in range, but that's never a problem, once you're aware of it.

Regards.

It's easy. Easy to locate the appropriate button. Don;t have any complaints, but I HAVE ordered a handheld remote for my bigger shows.

Nice looking watch, too.
