It is very rare that a book excites me; I can only recall 3 or so over the past few years dealing with our unique vocation. The number has grown to 4.
The Traveler's Journal arrived just 2 days ago, I have not had the chance to read it completely as of yet, but what I have read has rekindled my enthusiasm. This is a fantastic book on many levels: The writing is superb. As was mentioned elsewhere, it is a series of letters from the Traveler to T. Everett Bookings, III. Through these letters, we get to follow the traveler on his journeys all over this world, and short forays into another one. Material: from what I have read thus far, the material is exceptional, well thought out, well explained, and can be as strong as you want it to be. It encompasses magickial and mystical traditions and themes from al over the world, it is an amazing collection. The layout and construction of the book: 124 pages, and not a bit wasted. It is laid out as good or better than any book I have seen in our field. This is the standard as to which all books should be held to as far as editorial content and construction, it is exemplarity! I cannot wait until I have a bit more time to really digest this offering, it has me very excited. I, too, am very impressed by this book. The theme, the material, the routines, the historical perspective, the illustrations, even the cover and design I find very nice.

Thanks for the nice comments. Honestly, it was more work than Bigger Book of BOO! That's why its so great to have my wife Shelly, who really is a professional writer, and Dave Birtwell as proofreaders and editors. Plus as always, the really great input various peers all over the world give me.
Hope to see everyone in Hartford. The three of me is doing a small lecture at which Collage will be unleashed...is it an effect, an experiment, bizarre, mentalism or what? Heck, even Odes and Banachek haven't decided how to classify it. Its just "different". Lary/TEB3/Traveler |

So, you are T. Everett Bookings, III!!! I read the Bigger Book Of Boo and I love it. Cassandra Potter is my favorite from that book. Cheers!

Me too. Lary, will your new book be distributed, or stay exclusive to Lulu?

Merlin,
I haven't heard back from Murphy if they are going to distribute it. They did BBoB and sold a heck of a lot of them through the magic stores. So for now it all goes thru the link on my site to Lulu. Lary/TEB3/Traveler |
