Never criticize someone else until you have walked a mile in their shoes. Then, when you do criticize them, you will be a mile away from them and you will have their shoes.

What decent magician actually has time at Halloween to go to a party? It's usually pretty busy for me.

I was a french maid last year. Walking all around school in heels was terribly difficult. This year I'd like to do something a little more than the typical french maid, probably something along the lines of Frankenfurter.

The trouble with drag is that while the costume will seem very different to you, to anyone else it will just be you in drag again. Tim Curry has created some memorable movie characters and I love Rocky Horror but if I was at school I'd find Pennywise hard to pass by. Dsestiny |

Thank you Mr Superfluous, for reminding us, in the midst of all this gloom and doom, that there is still beauty in the world if you just take the time to look for it.

I've found some of my most fun costumes piecing together stuff from thrift stores. The randomness inspires creativity.

I decided last year that I'm gonna be Raggedy Andy. In have the red hair spray, a little boy style sailor shirt (THAT I PUT TOGETHER! WHOO!), I've had the tights for years, and frankly, my calves have never looked better.
I've been dead Peter Pan three times, never really gets old, but I just wanna be something else.

The best Halloween costume I've ever come up with was actually a group costume. There were seven of us, ranging from a 4 year old child to a man 6'4" tall, all dressed in traditional black-and-white nun's habits...and wearing those "groucho" nose and glasses things that are so ubiquitous this time of the year.
We walked straight-faced in single file along the street of NYC, from the shortest (in front) to the tallest (bringing up the rear. An AP photographer took a photo of us, and it made many of the national papers. |

Just don't make it a habit dressing as nuns.... (Sorry, it just had to be said. )
Be a bag/can of garbage, and ask people to take you out. Glue a bunch of Peeps all over yourself. You'll be a chick magnet. (I saw this one on a website once.) Dress all in pink, then strap a shoe on top of your head. You'll be gum stuck on the bottom of a shoe. Wear a large "P" around your neck, and use make-up to give yourself a black eye. You'll be a black-eyed pea. I'll let you guess which of these I've actually used.
