I think it would be interesting to learn how others insert magic into their lives and work. Is magic a separate, secret thing with you, or does it spill over into your daily routines?
I have used magic to start a staff meeting, sell an idea, finish a speech, make hospitalized children laugh (O.K.- I'm not such a good magician- but it can be pretty funny). I think it even helped get me l**d once or twice. How 'bout you? Have you ever worked a neat bit of magic seemlessly into a debate, work project, request for a raise, etc.? Let's hear the full story...
Also known, when doing rope magic, as "Cordini"

I have trouble remembering a time when I didn't use magic. I did start very young, and it has always been a part of my life. I used it in school when giving demonstrations of something, or reports. I used it to entertain other students and teachers. I have long enjoyed doing magic for waiters and waitresses. I still use magic to illustrate points in classes I teach at the church.
As both a psychologist and pastor I find that principles and techniques I have learned from magic go a log way in helping me assist a troubled person understand their perceptions and help them change them. Delusion is self illusion, and we all do it to some degree. Understanding how illusion works on individuals and an audience in magic goes a long way in helping you understand how self illusion works in people. Then Mark Wilson, at one of his seminars, brought up the point that "sharing magic" is one of the best ways to market yourself as a magician. Doing a little magic here and there, waiting in a line, for the lady at the dry cleaners, for someone sitting next to you on the plane, etc. gets you known and perceived by the public as a magician. Getting that public perception is a big marketing tool for any magician. I'm forever doing magic, or using principles of magic and it is virtually impossible to separate my "magic life" from my "personal life".

As a substitute teacher, I'm not above bribing the kids with a magic trick at the end of class if they follow the rules. Yes, I did see the article on the substitute teacher who got fired for doing magic. Consensus of the classroom teachers was that the magic trick wasn't the only reason the teacher was fired. Just today, I promised the three boys I interpret for in their science class that if all three did good on their nine-weeks test, I'd do a magic trick for them.
The only stupid question is the one not asked.
