Has anyone bought D'Lightning Bug by Rocco. If so, can you provide a review. The video looks pretty good. I have stopped using D'lites because I believe they have been overexposed, at least in my area, and most people have figured them out. Acutally a lot of kids own them. I'm wondering if D'Lightning Bug can be figured out as easily...especially by those who are in the know about D'lites.
Thanks, Wally

It appears from the video to be a compact version of the d'lite flight

I don't have one, but it is basically a small version of an old Tannen's effect called Firefly2K.

I did this for my nieces and their friends over the holidays and they were mesmerized by it.
As with any D'lite products it's extremely well made and it's very simple to operate. Anyone using it?

I have it, but I have only played around with it, no real performances yet. Its a little harder to make it look good than the d'lites. The demo video gives a pretty good example of how it should be handled.

These come with a yellow sponge ball in which the light can be embedded. Most people I have shown this to in the shop prefer it used in this manner. I don't think the video demos show this option, but it lights the whole ball up from the inside and "flickers" as it floats in space. looks pretty cool.

I have purchased these since my original post. I haven't used them in my act as yet but am playing around with different uses and ideas. The yellow sponge balls are pretty cool as Pit Boss mentions in his post. I also like that they can be turned on and off.

It can be cool for grabbing attention for outdoor street magic at night , or on stage with a really cool story , use it in conjuction with your assistant ad pluck lights from it. One advantage is once its turned on it stays on , no pressing on the light to get it lit.

Is the sponge ball attached in the same manner as Dlite Flight?
I ask because Dlite Flight is not practical for me.

I just received mine and I must say that I like it very much! In my opinion it is better than the standard D'Lite.
As if it is attached in the same manner as D'lite Flight, I don't own D'lite flight but I looked at a video done by Rocco and it's look like. Ps: Sorry for my poor english |
