No, there was no mention of Segovia. Just Chet giving a guitar lesson to whatsherface. Terrible, terrible clip. I hope Doug just screwed up, because that clip was really bad.

Here's one of Segovia being a prick.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiAbqfaYGwk And one of Segovia reminiscing in his homeland. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcSb53Dp7zM BTW, Michael Chapdelain was is a very humble guy...ended up being a killer player. And here's one of Jerry Reed interviewing Chet Atkins http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wAx1_LG2TM Jerry Clower looks like a clown!

And here is a piece of history..Jimmy Dean interviews Chet. The infamous Chet stinky cigar is the star of that interview. (At the start of part two)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNOVlYc9bvM Interview part starts at 2:13 Jimmy to Chet: "You do play pretty good." No!!!!!! And some more Chet light jazz : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LOTTczTHns&feature=related Good one of Segovia playing before he had gotten real super old: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bG7y_CD9rMg But for some odd reason, I would rather watch this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtgiYhu_kO0&feature=related

It sure looks as though Segovia was being a jerk, but Chapdelaine, during the interview makes it very clear that he is grateful as an artist that Segovia "broke him down" the way he did. Most people don't have the strength to endure that sort of teaching. John

That's why I said he is a humble guy. If someone called me on the carpet in front of my peers, I honestly don't think I would have reacted with the same humility.
