I've been doing Magic for over 30 years. I have been a lurker on this site for several years now. I joined mostly just to get the SEARCH function What a great resource. I love the reviews of videos and tricks. Sure has saved me a LOT of money. I want to thank all of you. THANX! POOF --- I'm outa here! |

Hey Metatron.
Kramien's Jamboree happens every year, usually in April or early May. It's a event that starts Friday afternoon and goes late Staurday night. There's several dealers selling new and used items, several lectures both days, an auction Saturday afternoon and both nights a big stage show. Stan always gets a big name magician to headline the Saturday night show. In years past he's has Blackstone Jr., Shamada, Johnny Thompson, Billy McComb, just to name a few. It's held just outside of Portland. Rumor has it Stan wil have Jeff McBride this year. Take care, Bob. |

Hansel -
Thanks for the welcome. How's magic in Port Rico? Get a lot of tourists there I imagine. -Metatron ----------------------------------------------------------------------- themagiciansapprentice - I prefer mostly close-up type magic. A mixture of Sleight of hand (with and without gimmicks/gaffs) using coins, bills, cigarettes, balls, rings, ropes, silks and some cards (but not to many card tricks). I am currently working on a strolling (walk around) routine for fairs/street markets, if while strolling I gather to big of a crowd it turns into a stand-up/busking type show. Everything must pack small and fit into my pockets and one small case or bag. I like to use borrowed objects if possible, it gets bigger reactions and enhances audience participation. This type of combination show works well in many types of venues from the streets to corporate, bars, restuarants and parties. -Metatron ------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hi Metatron,
I lived with my wife and two daughters in Puyallup and Graham, just outside of Tacoma, for about 11 years. The Great Northwest is a beautiful place; so much to see and do. I didn't really mind the rain, but my wife hated it. Welcome to the Café! Curtis http://www.CurtisMagic.com

A belated Welcome from another Wasintonian. What area of Washington are you in? I am in Pierce County, little town named Buckley. Welcome and I do hope to see you around the Café'. Curtis, Puyallup is pretty much in my back yard, not far from Buckley. It is a beautiful place to live. Cold today, 36 and a little snow on the ground at my house. Steven |
