I am looking for a card trick that I used to posess, but have lost after a couple of moves.
1. Spectator is offered a selection from a regular deck of cards. The card is forced and I believe it is a black eight (clubs of spades) 2. The performer then introduces 4 jumbo cards that are the Aces of each suit. There is comedic byplay about confusing the Aces with the eights, but the performer says he will make the Ace of the suit corresponding to the selection reverse itself in the spread. It does, but when the fan is turned around the reversed card has actually become the eight that was selected in the first place. It's a cute platform trick, and I had a set of these cards at some point, but as I said, after moving twice in the past 6 years I guess they were swallowed up in some moving box. I thought it was Aldo Columbini effect, but I cannot remember the name and I did not see anything at his site that resembled this trick.

Interesting story. I had the same trick, and I no longer have it either. Don't know where it went, and don't remember the name. I'll do some research and see if I can come up with anything.

"Power Aces" by Aldo Colombini and marketed through Meir Yedid. It's a nice platform version of a classic card plot.
