OK Magic Curios, Lebanon Circle and other technically gifted people... how about using THIS as a seance tool!?!?

Try looking at post http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/searc......=5492421 .
Infrasound is way fun and can really freak people out if you get the right frequencies. Cheers, Matt |

Thanks Matt, that was a fascinating read!
After reading some of the participants quotes (FEMALE - Pre-orgasmic tension in body and arms) it might also be useful as a marital aid! :) |

Does anyone knows how to generate infrasound on a mac? I have a subwoofer and I guess would like to try it out on some friends hehehe and my landlady - maybe I can convince her that my flat is haunted so she should cut down the rent

Try using Audacity - a freebie bit of software. Oh, wait, that's for a PC.
Any software that allows you to generate tones of different frequencies is what you need for this. You can even mix it into "normal" music if you like using something like Cool Edit Pro and freak people out that way. Only proviso - you need a sound card that can deliver the subwoofer signal to a decent amp / subwoofer. Happy freaking! Matt |

A tone of 18 Hz resonates the human eyeball and can cause hallucinations, feelings of unease and nausea. The government has also experimented using sound as a weapon by targeting certain organs such as the heart with their associated resonant frequency.
The sound you'll need to generate to create these frequencies is called infrasound. The normal hearing range of a human is 20Hz - 20Khz, infrasound is less than 20Hz and therefore can't be heard but can certainly be felt! |

Isn't audacity only for editing? I'm downloading it right now to take a look, but I remember when I used it it was only to edit audio not to generate sound. and there is audacity for mac too
Hah, ok I generated some soundfiles now. One with 18 one with 19 hz so far no fear in sight Maybe it works only if you don't know about it?? I will try it out the next time I have people around here greets |

It is easy enough to create the sound files at infrasound frequencies, the hard part is finding audio equipment with the capability of playing those frequencies. Have you ever seen your sub woofer cones pump at 20Hz at full volume? Scary stuff and if you're not careful you'll blow the speaker.

Thanks a lot for the link Dan! Well I have a pretty nice subwoofer. It gets the low tones really good actually. And so far no problems I will make experiments with different ranges and see which ones are more effective I'll keep updates here Hehehe but to be honest it all sounds too good to me :/ I am a bit skeptical it might not work, but we shall see It will take time though - I don't want to tell the people I'm testing this on that I am doing it and I'm not sure how to measure the success...but we'll see

There is a mythical way of measuring the success for those of a coprophilic persuasion: Brown sound! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_note

LOL the brown note is great hehe...Bet some guy named Derren is in on this one I read a recent interview with him where he told that somebody started puking on the stage...probably he was still tweaking on the note
As for' my own research..dont know if it is the result of my experiments with infrasounds but I had tonight the whole night some kinds of nightmares - from werewolves chasing and attacking me to just situations that felt completly claustrophobic and scary Heh go figure |

I was experimenting with infrasound a while back, and yes you need the right subwoofer to deliver it. Your computer speakers will not cut it.
When I was experimenting with it, I got sick to my stomach, had violent convulsions, extreme gas, a bad headache and ran away from home. But..., then again my Mother-in-law was visiting so my experimentation results could be off. HI-OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! |
