I have Lewis' original Cardiographic. I have trouble with bleed through of the marker onto the gimick as I draw. I am using a piece of wax paper for protection when I make up new pages but it adds to the bulk of the page. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?
Also, is his new version worth the investment of a new Cardiographic? |

Try a different brand of marker pen.

I have a blank page inserted between the rising card gimmick and the page I draw on -- a slot in each. This stops the bleeding from hitting the gimmick.
I made mine from Lewis' video, so I don't know about the new version. Carrie |

Thanks to all who replied. I tried them all but Carrie's suggestion works best! My sincere thanks. Part of the problem is that the prepackaged refills bought from Hocus Pocus contains paper that is too thin. You can see the gimmick holder through it and that special something else.
I would still like to hear more about the new version especially the improvements! Again, thanks to everyone for their help! |

They have pads with various paper weight.... get a heavy weight paper pad. You wont need an insert betweent the pages.

I am with Carrie on this one. I use the Tarbell method of the rising card from pad. someone once suggested to use a piece of cardboard as you can cut the paper without cutting the second sheet or gimmick and the bleeding problem would not be there either.
