I heard someone was trying to throw something together. Not real sure if it's going to happen or not.

SCAM website will be available for viewing by November 26th, only nine days
from now. Please check for all details. http://www.scamcon.org A magic convention is a lot of work and anyone who has had a part in helping with one can attest to the fact that it cannot just be thrown together. The committee has put many months of work into it. We have a great lineup and it will be worth the wait. I am beginning to wonder about the motives of some of the posts in this thread and this one as well:
http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......um=31&16 On Nov 7 it is stated that the website would be updated Nov 26. The same post gave a date certain. On Nov 20 there is a sarcastic post stating that the site had not yet been updated. I guess if one's vision is sufficiently blurred 20 and 26 could possibly look alike, so I refrained from responding, "ummm it's not the 26th yet." We have also been treated to rumors that the convention is in limbo, and my personal favorite that something is being thrown together. I don't know what the motive behind some of the rumor mongering is, that is something those responsible have to answer for themselves. The decision was made in SCAM's infancy to publish the registration material until mid-late November (I was there when the decision was made). The dates have been posted and yet people persist in making out like there will be no SCAM. It is becoming harder to pass this off as just good faith misunderstanding.
