Thanksgiving is next week, so here's some Thanksgiving classics to help get you in the spirit of things.

First, we'll start with some short Miracle on 34th Street clips: http://www.hulu.com/videos/search?query=......h+Street

Staying with the short clips, let's not forget Schoolhouse Rock's No More Kings: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofYmhlclqr4

Since Thanksgiving is partially about getting together with friends, how about the classic Thanksgiving 2000 episode of Friends? It's the one where Chandler doesn't like dogs, and Ross is being driven crazy trying to name all 50 US states: http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/xyIJKIoCY_U/

BTW, if you'd like to try Chandler's name the states game, you can try it yourself at the following link (and you even get 10 minutes instead of 6!): http://www.sporcle.com/games/states.php

Finally, I'll wrap things up with an unforgettable Thanksgiving classic, which can be summed up by its final words: "As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.": http://www.hulu.com/watch/322/wkrp-in-ci......eys-away

Happy Thanksgiving!

I love that last line about the turkeys, and the later line spoken by the same character on the NEW wkrp, when he says he can return a shirt he bought because it was the wrong size or something.

The line worked so well because of the extreme deadpan with which it was delivered.
Magic is like Science,
Both are fun if you do it right!

I had just resigned myself to the annual "beloved" Thanksgiving Day parade which is really an excuse to showcase every advertising spokes-character in existence ("And here he comes, right after Disney's Aladdin ... Ronals McDonald!")

Then I tried to watch the Food Network - every host they've got, doing their own Thanksgiving meal ... and gave up. Darn it, my post-turkeyday leftover turkey sandwich does not involve breading and frying the turkey with porcini mushrooms.

I need a South Park Thanksgiving Special ("And here he comes, right after Big Gay Al ... it's Mister Hankey!")

Anyone remember the magic special that ran for a couple of years on Thanks Giving Day? It was around 73 or 74 it first aired. If I remember correctly Dick Cavet was the host the show had Slydini. I think Albert Goshman, I believe Norman Bigglow did an escape. I don't remember what network it was on or if it was just a regional show. I just know it happened. There were other magicians on it as well but I don't recall who at this time.
