So what with the crappy summer season and vanished winter season, the world reccession and closed shows ! You know what they say, If at first you don't succeed then give up!
So yesterday the phone rings and >>> Well a little history first. THE TOM NORMAN PALLADIUM SHOW. One of the last big shows have been saved and will be seen at special events held at Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre in Devon. In its day it was one of the most famous shows travelling in the UK,acts such as Dr Bodie, Tommy Toes Jacobsen and Ellis the Hangman have all performed beneath its canvas. Tom Norman (Son of Tom Silver King Norman) Known best for his Elephant Man exhibit, toured this show for many seasons. The whole show vanished and was later found in storage then put up for auction. It never made the reserve but bidding outside of the auction place resulted in its sale to a three man consortium. These dedicated enthusiasts are prepared to take on this monster responsibility and what`s more, work it. It is with great honour that I have been asked to perform within this show on its reopening at the Dingles event. To tread these boards which have seen the very greatest of the unusual, in entertainment, make me feel not only humble but also very proud. This show has not been seen for 30years and not worked as a paradeing show for even longer. I have a picture of its last gig with David Weeks as the outside talker (David,,,everyone knows David with his tophat and tails, he has shouted for Betty Allens shows and my own shows on and off for as long as I have been in the biz) He must be al least 144 years old!!! If I can only get David to shout me up on Normans showfront (Next April) The I would have achieved all of my dreams since starting in this crazy wonderful business. So there you go,,,up one minet and down the next !! that's showbiz. BTW,,,I am working on getting a Higg Zibb into the blowoff at the same time,,wow another oddity where so many very famous oddities have stood before. Chin up,, Ken. |

The honor will be theirs Ken. Ain't a single board treader that hung with the swells like you did in 06! Not living or dead will ever match that run of yours. You are the KING of your trade. Of course they asked!!!!

Ken,
Congratulations! Can't think of a nicer thing to happen to such a class act (the class act in this case being Kondini)... For a new act, I suggest filling a 260 balloon with sponge balls and then swallowing it only to produce a freshly tied poodle from under your loin cloth. Let the brown sponge balls turn up in a few days... should run out of sponge balls around the end of run. Again, well deserved. Steve |

You are all too kind (But I deserve it)!
Never pulled out a poodle from under my loin cloth but pulled a couple of other things out and don't think she refered to them as poodles ? Doug,,,,never forget,,,without your zibbs there would have been no show to show. Ken |

Were they "LARGE" and red and kind of fluffy? Do you have any more of them for sale?

They (Zibits) were just the lugubrious filling...you were the cake and spread all that cheerful icing about.
