Hello everyone, my name is Brandon. I've been doing card magic off and on since I was about 10, wasn't till recently I started getting into it a bit more (have a 4 year old neice that just loves the illusions). I recently just purchased some of the Ellusionist custom bicycle decks and the ghost gaff deck (I know I'm a noob, lol. It's my first gaff deck btw). I'm currently working on getting sleights down, if anyone has any suggestions on a good book of slieghts (hopefully with pictures, I don't translate from words very well) that would be awsome!

(Sorry in advanced for the double post, there is no edit button!)
I'm really having trouble with 'The pass' to be more precise. I've bought e-books, real books, and downloadable versions of video's describing it, but still can't seem to get it down. I've done a search here for it, but haven't found anything as of yet (I'm sure it's around, and just need to search harder). My problem seems to be... well everything, to much movment (while practicing in the mirror) of my left hand, my right hand exposing the movment and not seeming to have enough room undercover (of my right hand) to complete the cardini cut. Any advice would be great through PM or a refrence to somthing would be much appreciated! |

Thank you Tora, I will be more mindfull of where I post from now on. Speaking of, is there and accesories section for cards. I'm looking to see which would be a better investment for keeping cards in good condition (I.E. card press/clips), I bought a few Ellusionist decks, and would like to keep them as long as possible (they're pretty spendy)

To answer your question, Card College volume 1 is exactly what you need!

Start with Volume one of Card college to get a firm foundation in card magic. Volume 2 is where the pass is discussed in detail. Many alternatives to the pass are presented in those volumes as well, which may suit you better (many experienced magicians avoid the pass-see the card section of this forum for numerous discussions).

Thanks for the advice, will be looking forward to the pay-check on Wensday! I did get Daryl's Encylopedia of card sleights 1-4, been getting some good stuff through that!
