Hey guys
as part of my close up show I did the cups and balls today, done a very basic routine, had 5 phases before the final loads, all lemons as leaded on tyo bill in lemon, the specs were all amazed at the final loads, except 1 guy who was saying I cant believe you didn't see that, but I know he saw **** all as he was saying it all the way thru my show but I ignored him. anyways went well now more practise and a more polished routine and I'm nearly there

Congrats!
Sorry you had a heckler for your maiden C&B routine. I will never understand why some people just can't allow everyone else to enjoy the show without interruption.

Interesting post. What did you do before your C&B?
I speak as one who's been working with a routine for a few months now, without a hint of a public performance. My first shows for the C&B are scheduled for Feb 2009. I take things easy... :) The question is serious. I think you should get the measure of your audience early on in the show.. so you can spot the potential "conkers under the saddle" - troublemakers, - in other words..and be ready for them. Next? I'm sure there will be others ready to jump in here... I hope so.. DCB

Was at the annual Christmas charity magic show put on by Murray Hatfield. This year he had Oscar Munoz back (one of my favorites!) and Sean Bugonia who killed with his dancing hank routine. Anyway Murray did a very interesting cups and balls routine where he started out with the colored plastic cups and balls and did the basic routine. Then he pulled out a nice metal set and did a more complicated routine and for the final loads at the end, under the cups was the three plastic colored cups. I thought that was a pretty cool ending as I was expecting the orange, lemon, etc finale

Murray did the David Regal cups & balls routine, it's in one of his books and on a video.

The heckler wasnt so much bothering me more trying to establish that he is above the others, even during mcdonalds aces he said I saw the switch, I cant believe you guys didn't, I know hes full of crap as we all know there is no switch in mcdonalds aces, ah well!
prior to cups and balls, after mcdonalds aces, I asked for a £5 note to be borrowed, with the misdirection that gave I switched my normal deck for a Svengali, anyhow I did the serial number on the pay packet envelope and sealed it and let a spec take care of it, I did my spectators choices 3 phase Svengali routine. then I did my cups and balls and after the lemon production I gave the specs a choice of lemon, they choose and I threw the lemon to someone else to hold, while the lemon was flying I did another deck switch for my card finale strangers gallery, done that as my final card trick, asked for the borrowed £5 they found the i.o.u then the other spec cut the lemon to reveal the borrowed cash
