http://tinyurl.com/5wjrxc The 2 links above all go to various new stories about the solving of the murder of America's Most Wanted anchor John Walsh. The murder has gone unsolved for 27 years, and according to John Walsh, it's because the investigation has been severely botched. The murderer named by the police is Ottis Toole, who is now deceased. Hopefully, this will bring the Walsh family some long-sought closure. |

Didn't they determine it was Ottis Toole many years ago? 27 years, geez, I was in Florida, single, healthy, and happy then. I doubt the Walsh Family will every find closure, sorry to say.

This story really should be headlined "Adam Walsh Case Declared Closed".
I'm sure John Walsh would agree that there really is no healing or closure for this, but with his activities, he has certainly taken the tragedy and made something good come out of it. |

I was watching this on CNN this afternoon. I really got choked up when John was talking about a few people who worked on this case since the beginning. The guy who was assistant DA at the time now has a private practice and he has continued to counsel the Walshes over the years, pro bono! The one thing that has come out of this horrible tragedy is all the laws that have been passed to prevent this happening to another child.

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley. "...as we reason and love, we are able to hope. And hope enables us to resist those things that would enslave us." |

That stinks. Smacks of the NWO, if you ask me.

If you read down in the comments, there is some indication that (at the very least) this proposed law will have unintended consequences.
The protections of LA's "sanctuary city" law (admittedly controversial, it essentially declines to use city resources to enforce Federal immigration policies) would be revoked - everyone stopped or questioned or arrested who looks Hispanic would have to prove that they are in the country legally and not in a gang. That kind of scrutiny, which seems guaranteed to "shove up against the wall" citizens and legal residents as well as illegals, is an uncomfortable extension of the new "surveillance society". True, this innocent young boy was killed by a Hispanic gang member, but that is no reason to suddenly do an end-run around an existing (voter-approved) law to allow racial profiling. |
