Hey guys,
I remember seeing Fred Kaps in his FISM act performing a short Miser's Dream using coins and a silk instead of bucket. I have some ideas on it, and does anyone know if it is published somewhere? |

You'll find a detailed description of Miser's Dream using a Silk in David Ben's book "Tricks".

The routine that inspired Kaps is in The Vernon Chronicles, Volume 1.

Check out the Hanky Panky Routine in Routine Manipulation by Lewis Ganson. Also, check out Jeff McBride's coin and silk work in his manipulation video series.

Try Curtis Kam's Palms of Steel, "Chinese Silk & Silver". I have performed my own version of this for about seven years now & wouldn't leave it out.

There's also a nice version on Cellini's "Magic That Can Be Performed Anywhere" dvd.

David Roth does a nice 4 coin production using a silk on vol.1 (Coins Across) of the New York Coin Magic Seminar DVD series.
S.E.M. (The Sun, the Moon, and the Earth) is a sun and moon routine unlike any other. Limited to 100 sets, here is the promo:

These classics keep reappearing because they work! Learning "old magic" will save you a lot of money buying "new magic".
Miser's Dream always plays well when presented well. Silk gives it color not available by most other methods. It is eye candy and great magic. It is well worth learning. Bob Sanders Magic By Sander |

Kaps' routine was taught to him by Dai Vernon.
