Ros....A few years ago, the late Frank Koval published "The Houdini Research Diaries" which is what I based my list of UK dates on. These show up from time to time on Ebay, and Frank listed as much information as he could find through years of searching into newspaper reports, etc., so there is a lot of information as to what he performed, when and where.
I'd be happy to look in my copies if you need info on a specific date or theatre, but try to find the Diaries.....6 books, covering the whole of his life. (See you at Blackpool, Sunday at 12.00 noon, Black Cat Magic's Booth) Mick |

Ros
When Houdini appeared at the Palace Theatre, Plymouth in Aug 1909 he got himself a lot of press coverage, including his bridge jump that week and details of his stage show. I put together a booklet of this material for a lecture/demonstration I did at the Plymouth Athenaeum a few years back. I may still have one or two copies, and if so I'll bring one to Blackpool for you. Riley |

Very nice website, congrats. I love the posters and print works. I would dress up the facts on Houdini with some pictures. If you could put some old video about him in too that would be great. And it would be nice to see some more of the hardware.
Great job. StewMan |

Thanks for the nice words, Stewman. I'll be always adding bits to improve the look, so, yes, there will be pictures on the facts pages.
I'm doing a page on my research into the Mirror Handcuff Challenge soon, and am just getting more info together for that. I wanted the site to be different to the other great Houdini sites out there.....houdinitribute.com and houdiniana.com, etc. at least one of these has video clips on, so I'd only be duplicating other sites, and that's not what I want. Ideally, my site should include complilation of pages involving you guys. I'd like to see anything you'd like to share with the world that might not have been seen by many people. Or just ideas and thoughts on how he acheived some of his escapes. I'd be happy to add anything from Houdini collectors, so just p.m. me if you'd like to be involved. Regarding "Hardware"...If anyone has photos of Houdini used cuffs etc, please let me see them. It's all very well showing loads of handcuffs ansd shackles, but a page or two of genuine gear actually used by Harry would be cool. Thanks Mick |
