John Cooper has passed away. See more information within the KIDabra International section. This is where he met lots of friends and was part of the KIDabra Staff.

Message from KIDabra International's Mark Daniel:
John Cooper lost his long battle due to complications of congestive heart failure, Sunday Evening December 28th in Anderson, SC. John was a friend of so many who receive this newsletter and whether you knew him from his review column in The KIDabra Journal; as an occasional lecturer at KIDabra conference; for his very informative posts on the discussion forums; as a success coach or friend; this is huge loss to the KIDshow world. In the next KIDabra Journal you'll learn about and celebrate a life that touched so many. We had so hoped he would see the magazine himself, but it was not to be. John, a lifelong full-time performer and speaker, was a most colorful, and opinionated character. I'll miss our discussions, arguments and debates very much. The hospital bills during John's illness have mounted to astronomical amounts! His wife Cathi has been left pretty much financially devastated with no income for some time and no insurance. If you want to send a small remembrance, we know it would be appreciated. John called me just one day last week to say hi and how much he appreciated what KIDabra folks had done for he and Cathi. Please send to the address below. Our thanks to Glenn Strange for being there with regular and tireless updates. I am planning on attending the memorial service Wednesday, and I know Glenn and Tim Sonefelt along with others will be there too. While this newsletter goes out around the world, if you are within a few hours drive we invite you to come celebrate, laugh and remember John Cooper. If you can't be there in person, do send a funny/happy memory of your times with John to Glenn Strange for something he's putting together for John's family. Email to glenn@glennstrange.com. Mark John Victor Cooper, 52, of Anderson, died Sunday, December 28, 2008 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born September 6, 1956 in Columbus, GA, he was the son of the late John William Cooper, Jr. and Doris Thurston Cooper. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was an educational speaker. Survivors include his wife, Catherine S. Cooper of the home; one son, John Lewis Cooper of Stone Mountain, GA; and one brother, Jeff Cooper of Lexington, KY. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Downtown Chapel, 401 North Main Street, Anderson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the John V. Cooper Fund, c/o Regions Bank, 3404 Clemson Boulevard, Anderson, SC 29621.
