Strange Tasting Fish Sticks 1988 - 2013 The Big Brother is watching you 1095 Posts |
I sure hope I've actually made progress when I started. I looked at one of my first videos and hardly notice a difference. Maybe other people do.
I talked to rannie about it the other day, and he actually said I have a good CP. That means a lot coming from rannie. |

Kevin,
I've told you just recently that your CP is pretty good. The problem is how you use it. The CP becomes the trick where as it is suppose to just be a tool. You focus too much on the CP that the audience tends to focus on it as well. I told you how to get the "evil hand" out of the frame and how to focus the attention on the receiving hand. The excessive pointing and proving before the idea of the coin being tossed or transfered to the other hand sinks in just makes even the better CPs obvious. I have seen some of the best CPs live and up front. I will say without a shadow of a doubt that there are only 3 that I have seen that does it so well. What even makes their CP great is that they understand that it is only a tool and it is not the effect. It affects the magic in such a way that it becomes so believable. What you have to work on is getting rid of the guilt. You must work on routining, choreography, the patter, the misdirection and also clarity of things. Then your "tool"...the CP becomes useful and effective. Best from Manila! Rannie
