Would anyone know how I could create my own music for a magic routine. I think that McBride's music is fantastic, and I am wondering how he created the music so I can make original music of my own. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt

Jeff McBride hires someone to create his music, I believe.

There are plenty of computer software like acid music for example. You can buy cd's with copyright free loops, cords, beats etc. Some software like acid comes with files you can use already. You simply add the sound files in layers to create a desired song. It's fun and can be very versatile for you when wanting to make it specifically for an act.

Yes, Jeff McBride has people who create his music for him. When he started his mask routine I remember that the music for it was by a German band, but now it has been redone by someone he hired. Hope this helps!

I've played with Acid a little, (the computer program not the drug) and it's pretty easy to use. Adobe Audition also has a loop feature.(I think it's left over from when it was called "Cool Edit Pro") You can search "Loopology" on the net and find some good loops for Adobe Audition. I'm not sure if Adobe is updating with new loops but there are gobs and gobs of loops with Loopology.

For acid music, if I have a keyboard, could I hook it up to my computer somehow? Does acid work for a mac?

Thanks for the help.

I wouldn't know if you can work from a mac..I very briefly looked over the ACID website http://www.adidplanet.com and see no reference to a mac. but I'm pretty sure you can record into ACID. I haven't used it in a while.

Mleskac,

My advice is to call http://www.sweetwater.com

and talk to a sales rep, they can recommend
an audio card and software for the MAC.

Then you will get added to their mailing list.

Every season you will receive a big color book
on musical products.
