I'm working on a routine that I hope will just wipe out an audience. The base material appears in Marlo's "Cardician". For those who don't like Marlo material, I heartily recommend this book. It is filled with incredible sleights and effects; ALL of which are approachable, useable, and really first rate.
I am not particularly Marlo centric, but this book really deserves a place on any card worker's bookshelf. And, it's inexpensive! All best, Brad Burt

I agree with Euan. I never did really like Marlo anyway. His stuff is just a bunch of routines chalk full of moves.

His stuff is just a bunch of routines chalk full of moves. Marlo's 'Cardician' may be dull for some people, but the materials inside are really good. Not only the construction of the materials, but it is a good inspiring source for most cardicians. Also, 'Marlo in Spade' is another inexpensive book which fills with great materials. Some people often miss it becasue it is really small book. Routine with lots of moves are not wrong in nature. I know, and I understand that Marlo's moves always scrare some people because they seem to be impractical and useless at all. But IMOP, it always depends on the magician and his/her ability to make a routine the best, not depends on the number of good moves in the routine. Alex

Actually the Cardician isn't chalk full of hard moves at all. The effects are just boring. Although it did introduce the elevator plot which is quite good.
