Sorry to bump an old topic, was just browsing gospel effects when this came up. Things have obviously changed quite a bit in the 5 years since the last post. As mentioned by Steven above, Jonathan Pendragon's version of the sands of the desert is excellent too. While some of the more classic versions of the trick are performed well, with the increasing availability of these waterproof sands as kids toys I believe some of the impact is lost. For anyone that does love performing the illusion and might be looking for some ways to tweak their performance or perhaps even find a new way of delivering it, I highly recommend Jonathan's. In his Penguin Live lecture a couple months back shows how his method is constructed and how you can acquire all the necessary materials yourself for a very small investment. The lecture itself is only $29.95 so for those on a budget or curious as to how they might be able to improve their performance, it's a small but very worthy investment.
