Hi all! I'm Andrew from L.A. I've been doing magic since March and am currently taking lessons with Tony Clark, who is amaaaazing and had the longest running show in the history of Lake Tahoe. Just wanted to meet fellow magicians and share my love of the art!

Welcome aboard.
I'm curious about what it's like taking lessons. Are they one on one? How are they structured? What have you been working on? Are you going to work with doves with Tony? (He does a lot of dove work, right?) Blah blah blah. : ) Glad you're here. -Daniel |

I do one-on-one lessons with Tony in his studio. He's not just about showing you a trick - it's about the method, the technical aspects, and the routine as a whole. He's worked with me on movements and facial expressions, so it's as much about acting as it is about magic. He's helped me to put together a nice 12 minute routine and even built some props designed specifically for what I'm doing, so he definitely cares about the lessons. It's not just a way for him to make money, as I'm sure it is with some other magic teachers. We do 90 minutes a week and after about three months I now have a fantastic act (no doves yet ) that I can take anywhere and it will work. I highly recommend it!

Wow -- sounds fantastic! Do you have a video of your act? What effects are you incorporating? What style?

No videos yet but I'm working on it! It's a comedic act using some large coin vanishes set to music, a couple of rope tricks, and a very cool surprise finish. Once I have video up on my site I'll post a link!
