Saw this Drummers Accessory Stand and it looked like a great close-up table.

S'what I've been using for the last 25 years. Also makes a great stage table...nothing will roll off.

There's a pearl trap table that is very close to that and the size is 18x24 which I prefer. the surface is not that great for cards/coins but otherwise it's a good table.

My mentor Dredz gave me his old close-up table. It's pretty much a cymbal stand with a removable table covered in classy flame print felt like material.

These table are quite heavy, however. That's the only catch.

It is rather large 24" x 24" and has a nice felt cushy covering. Great for card or coin work. The telescoping stand was very very nice, well made, and looks classy. The table attaches to the stand easily and is adjustable. I like it very much but I had to send it back...... The UPS driver must have dropped the table and it was cracked on the edge. They are going to replace it with no shipping costs to me. They were very responsive and courteous. For $99 bucks I thought it was well worth it.

Would the trap table make a good busking table? I am getting into busking and I am needing a table and ran across this thread. The table looks like it would proably work. Any help would be great. thanks

I made a table very similar to that. I used a cymbol stand for the base. A picture frame for the top with a large close up pad and a similar ridge around the table (so nothing rolls off). It has a rigid connection that unscrews allowing the table top to fold flat to the base. There was a little construction work involved, and I think all my parts were in the $75 range. I would say, that table is worth the $99. I like it! Good find - It it the first non-magician table I have seen that has a padded top.
I had a seamstress add a skirt recently with a cloth servante on the back. That is something you could consider. Nice job. |

Thanks for the tip guys. I'll be checking out guitar center's percussion table this week. Not a bad price.

Love that table. I hope I can find it here in Vancouver.
