Hi guys at the moment I class my self as a hobbyist magician. I've done a few sets of walk round also a couple of festivals and a bit of street busking. I am not the kin of chat that goes round forcing magic on people but I do like to do a good show if the opportunity arises. Reading many post out of the many things I learnt. The idea only carry what your going to use and can do in your sleep also carry light are the things that got me to work on what I have come up with.
I have a small cardboard box that mesuers L115mm x W75mm x H41mm and I put to gather as a set of 7 effects in there which I am comfortable to do. There probable more tricks I can do but I don't know them yet. > 2 Sponge balls and purse frame = Daryl's, sponge ball routine. > 2 X 25mm Dice = Bob Sheets, its the rules. > Chadwick mending cotton =Jeffrey Durham version of Gypsy thread. > Rope = Sanders fibre optics. > 2 elastic bands = Crazy man handcuffs. > A deck of Bicycle cards = Ambitious card and other effects. Also in there is the stuff for a trick called a knotty problem which is on Daryl foller doller DVD. Which use. >flash paper. > A small Bic Lighter. > Sharpe mini. > 10p coins. > Hanky. This is a great ending wow factor. This is something I put together for fun and is very useful for me were I am at the moment. What I would like from this post is there any one that has something similar and what do you have in it. Also if you use cards say so but don,t list all the card tricks you do as these has been done in other areas of the Café. I also have a post in magic at a moments notice called stuff in a purse. With these two post and a post in Table hopper and party strollers called the 5 you always perform in a standing position I want to draw up a list of how much you can do with very little.
Enjoy your magic,
and let others enjoy it as well! |

I use a messenger type bag, that I designed and made myself with lots of small pockets the size for a deck of cards and such, when I work my restaurants because I do both magic and balloons. I have three spoonge balls (changed every two or three weeks to keep them looking clean and new) and a square to dino, T.T. and silk, pocket size magic coloring book for the smaller or more shy kiddies, two decks of cards, four one dollar coins, a piece of rope for cut and restored, a 8"x8" rolled up close up pad, a 52 on 1 card and a hot rod. Add the balloon pump and a bunch of balloons and that's my kit. I carry a lot more than most because I have a lot of repeat families that come in and try to keep enough on me to do something new each time they come in.
