I guess they don't plan on airing any more magic, since they filmed so much at one time. Another thing, why did Gay Blackstone not have a lawyer write a clause in the contract barring exposure shows while Masters of Illusion was on the air? I wish I had a big name in entertainment,etc... I sure as hell wouldn't stand for this ****. Best, Doug Lippert

I didn't watch the mask guy, but it had to have been better than MOI.
That stunk.. pee uuu!! I missed the first of it, but what I did see was border line embarressing. I did laugh at the last escape though. It was funny when he rolled out of the way and bumped one of those rubber spikes with his knees. At least I got a laugh out of that. Well, that and the fact that he proved them to be real by popping a balloon with them. "Oh yeah... must be real if they will pop a balloon!" Randi |

Must have been showing the rehearsals again. I can'r remember the last time I saw Johnny Ace Palmer drop a prop. And what was that all about with McBride and the Lota Bowls. I had to get up and go to the bathroom after that one.

Jeff McBrides water bowls are fantastic! Excellent handling and routine. They are not lota bowls, I had the chance to examine them at a show once.

WOW what we miss. The Jeff McBride water bowls was in fact a high in the show as it would in any show. THE Kid with the chinese sticks was very entertaining. Palmer was flustered by somthing as he seemed clumsy throughout especially onthe loads WOW. Sorry that's the way I saw it. The escape artist was well..awful is the only word for it. The Kid and McBride were the only ones who connected with the audience. I was astounded by the quality and disappointed as well. I take nothing away form Johnny Ace Palmer hes great and very talented everyone has a bad night. I wonder about the quality of the performers on this show where are they coming from?

I was wondering why did Johnny Ace Palmer tip the end bit by saying
(paraphrasing) "would you believe there are 3 baby chicks under these cups?" Why tip the climax? ... Same with the street performer girl saying " would you believe I now have the red cards and you have the black cards? Tipping the ending .... No element of surprise if you say whats coming.....geeezzzzz |

Nobody is getting a chance to see the really super talented people in the tall grass like Randi, like Bizarro, like BDC. By the way - Jeff's water bowls is a masterpiece of theatrical magic. |

So.. supposing that Gay was to be on my lil' podcast thingy.. are there questions you'd specifically like to have me ask her? You can send me a private message, email magicnewswire@gmail.com or call 404.492.6026 and leave a voicemail that we'll play for her. Just a thought.

The main question is how can new "undiscovered" talent audition for the show?
Also, you gotta ask her about the Rose Bowl show... You gotta. |
