So, I finally ordered the Take-Apart Duck Vanish from Cliff Wiggs, waiting for it to arrive very shortly in a week or so. I had to run through some changes and got into delay, but hoping it's better than ever. Great guy, too!
I'm not much of an animal magician, but I would love to work with them in my shows. As I am an animal freak, like Siegfried & Roy. Too bad I can't have Tigers and Lions. So, the duck vanish was the first animal magic of mine. I ordered the Take-Apart, but I am in need of a Duck Bucket to make the duck appear in the end. I have seen many different companies that sell them, but some look horrible and outrageously expensive. Does anyone have any recommendations for a Duck Bucket? *I am generally looking for something around 300-ish dollars. This will be a temporary duck bucket for about half a year or less. Until I can afford the one from Cliff Wiggs, as his was the best I have seen so far. My second question is; I was reading over some old threads on the Café, and I heard about something called a "duck harness" to make ducks appear. Well, what is that really? How is it performed, and where can I buy this? How much $$$ roughly are we talking about? Thanks a lot.

If you are handy with tools, you can make your own. Paul Osborne has a plan for it in Mysteries of the DUCK #2. There are two versions, one very easy to build. I have never heard of a duck harness; that would be quite a difficult body load, if that's what they mean. Rai

I use a duck bucket that I bought from a magic shop. Not sure on manufacturer, but it cost me about $300 and has served me well for about 5 years now!

If you are clever, it still would be cheaper to build one. There are sooo many ways to reappear the duck, look at all the Okito books! Servais LeRoy always used many, many ducks. As a matter of fact, he invented the "Where Do The Ducks Go," not Nixon or the Bambergs, although they did improve on it. Check "The Magic of the Bambergs." Rai

He has two new plans; Mysteries if the DUCK 1 and 2. It has 4 great tricks with ducks. Also, he has Ducks in Space and a duck vanish a la Die Box. Check all his books and plans. Hope this helps! Rai
