I use my BlackBerry extensively, even to compose, spell check, and post this on the forum. But it really comes in handy over and above its use as a phone and internet browser.
Its ability to save and sort notes is a big help to me. Since I do few shows now, I often get rusty on a complex routine. With the patter and some moves outlined just a shirt pocket away I can review a routine without trouble wherever I am. I have about 25 routines sitting there in nice big type for my failing eyes. I even have some routines on video in my BlackBerry just a reach away. It's nice to bring up the large Stop Watch and put it on the table rather than trying to see my watch as I time out a routine. I often bring up the You Tube viewer to see how others are doing. And, of course, I review the Magic Çafé Forum from my BlackBerry. How about you? Bob |

Hi Bob,
I loooove my Blackberry. I've even invented a couple of really cool effects with it. This stop watch feature you speak of.......is this an app that has to be downloaded or a standard feature? Thanks, Jim |

It came standard on my Storm.. The stopwatch also has lap timing and there is a nice Timer. The readout can be Digital, flip over or Analog display.

The stopwatch is available by selecting the clock, then pressing "menu" and selecting "stopwatch." Great, little-known feature of most Blackberries. If you have an older one that doesn't have this feature built-in, there are quite a few available for free on the web. Crackberry.com is a good reference.

SoCalPro - I'd love to hear what you've done effect-wise with yours. The only things I've done w/ mine are using it for simple, non-device-specific things, levitations, vanishes, etc. There are several things out there for the iPhone, but I've found nothing for the BB.
