My new Balloon Detective will be out next week and available from Hocus Pocus. Look for their ad later today. One of the effects doesn't involve you using actual balloons. I've tested it in my own shows and it plays well.
THE OFFICIAL BLOG Many magicians have added balloon sculpturing to their repertories. They use it at birthday parties, festivals and as an added bonus while doing strolling magic. Until now, there have been few ways to tie in your magic with balloon sculpturing. That is about to change. Imagine having a girl secretly think of a balloon animal and the color she would like it. You reach into your balloon bag and remove the color she has in mind. Immediately, you twist it into the animal she secretly selected! The girl will be amazed and have no idea how you were able to correctly guess both the balloon animal and color. Picture doing this for an entire birthday party with each child just secretly thinking of the balloon sculpture they want. Balloon Detective allows you to do this easily – without the children ever telling you the balloon sculpture they want. This effect will give you a big advantage over your competition in the kid-show market. Almost all birthday performers offer balloon sculpturing. You will be different. When a mother calls about a birthday party, you can say with YOU, the kids just secretly think of a balloon animal they want and you make it. This not only sounds novel to the mother, but completely impossible. You will find in most cases, this will give you an advantage over other balloon artists and you will get the booking. It has worked for me and it can work for you. You can do much more with Balloon Detective, even if you do not make balloon sculptures. You can use it as a mental effect. A person thinks of a balloon sculpture and the color of the balloon. You pick up a piece of cardboard, turn your back, and draw something on it. You turn back around keeping the drawing concealed. You ask your participant to tell you the balloon sculpture and chosen color. You show your drawing – it is a sketch of the selected sculpture drawn in the chosen color! You can even tie in Balloon Detective with personality readings. A woman is asked to think of an animal she can relate to and her favorite color, but not to tell you. During the course of the reading, you tell her, “People with your personality tend to favor blue and relate to cats.” Somehow, you have been able to divine this information even though she never told you. At the end of the reading, you tell her you will give her a special remembrance of the occasion. You will make her a personality balloon. Taking a blue balloon, you twist it into a cat and give it to her to keep. Doing a personality reading and finishing it off with a balloon animal goes over great with women. When doing this in strolling restaurant work people will ask the woman where she got the balloon. She will tell them how you told her about herself, including her favorite color and animal. This will lead to more people wanting you to read them so they can get a personality balloon. NOTHING IS EVER WRITTEN DOWN...the people just look at pictures of balloons and merely think of a balloon and the color they want. Nothing to memorize. Almost self-working and is easy to do. |

There are 10 different balloons to choose from. All are simple to make and most are a variation of the basic dog. There are NO STACKED packet of picture either!
Here they are: Fish, Hat, Mouse, Squirrel, Cat, Dinosaur, Giraffe, Rabbit, Sword and Dog. If you don't know how to make any of these, a simple google search: How to Make a balloon (insert name) will bring up a free video on how to make anything on the chart. The fact that the person can freely think of any of the above sculptures (no forces or restrictions)makes this very puzzling to most people. The person thinks of either, Red, Blue, Green or Yellow and you make the mentally chosen balloon in that color. Very puzzling, yet Balloon Detective gives you the information automatically. |

I think I might want to add this to my mentalism show.
Since I have your Glass Box Prediction & BlindSight (which I love), this seems like a no-brainer purchase. BTW, I've adapted BlindSight to The Three Stooges! I call it 'BlindSighted Stooges'. |
