I just got a pair of Grado SR-325is headphones for my birthday (today), and all I can say is....WOW I have never heard anything so fantastic in my life. I won't be taking these off for a few weeks....or years.
If you ever listen to music, EVER, I highly recommend you go NOW and buy the best pair of Grado's you can afford. |

Have you used any of Shure's in-ear headphones such as SCL4's?
I have a pair of shure's that I really dig due to the noise cancellation it's very isolating. |

Ive got the bose headphones, for music. They sound great with some Floyd in there, with the quadrophonic (sp) sound they used at times, like on "the final cut"

Jordini… Now you need to take it to the next level, investigate tube headphone amps and don’t listen to MP3s or any other digital compressed formats.
It will be like cotton was removed from your ears! Those have always been great headphones. Have fun, Bruce |

With that said, your MP3's will still sound much better with a tube amp rather than a transistor amp (of course good speakers or headphones is part of the equation). So many people seem to think that digital is much better than analog and no amount of proof will sway them to admit that this is a fact. I wish someone would come up with an analog cd, I think it is technologicaly possible (blue ray). That way we can insure longevity of our music with with the best that records and cd's have to offer. Funny thing. My banjo sounds pretty good live.
