You are correct, Scott. I have only used lower priced feather bouquets so far. They do shed , especially the green "leaves". They also show their age fairly quickly. Richard's stuff is truly beautiful. I have never seen any roses that look as stunning in feathers as his. I hope to add some of his pieces to my shows someday soon...

I produce my flowers out of ladies knee high stocking. I just cut off the toe and sew a ring into the top of the stocking (one stocking for each flower). I then place the flowers into the stockings and it holds it very well but has some flexability due to the material. I then place it away and at the proper time I steal it under a load of silks that I have produced and the wow factor is great when you pull out a big 20 bloom flower from under all those silks and is even greater when you pull out the second flower out from the same load of silks. But remember to separate the steal from the reveal, do something between the steal and the reveal so the audience will forget where you were when you picked them up and then you will really get the wow factor.

The knee socks work but there are better ways to use load sleeves and better things to make them out of.
I used to load an 18 bloom in my sleeve and produce it. You can see it on the demo video on the website. You are right about the steal and reveal. Also lift the silks off the bouquet. Otherwise it looks like you are just pulling the bouquet out of something. Richard
