What do you need that date for? To match a gaff?

The 90% silver ones, I believe, were from 1964. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Now Tim, you know we don't have any 1993 half dollars on the New York Coin Magic Seminar DVD's, ust 10 volumes with over 26 hours of solid, innovative coin material from Roth, Rubinstein, Gallo, Latta, and guests such as Harbottle, York, Trabucco, DeSouza, Watkins, Jones, and Citino. And did you see the rave reviews in Genii and Magic this month? You might just need to go to http://www.newyorkcoinmagic.net to order.
(Sorry Tim, you asked for it!!)

I believe the only silver coins minted by the U.S. of its circulating coins after the 1964 Kennedy are found in its annual proof sets and in the special 1976 commemorative coins for the bicentennial celebration.

I stand correctd.1965 to 1970 does contain a bit of silver but 64 and ealier have more silver content and fetch more money per half.

I hope I'm not stepping out of line with this comment, but if examination is THAT important... maybe your time is better served working on your presentation than searching for a matching coin. If people are so suspicious of your props that you are looking for coins with dates matching your gaffs, the problem is in the first part, not the second.
