I'm not sure how grand it is but has anyone had any positive experience using Abbotts' always advertised but seldom seen illusion, Bryce's Screen?
I am somewhat familiar with the workings, but despite its relatively low price, it just doesn't seem to be used nearly as much as other "inexpensive" illusions such as the chair suspension, Super X, Flying Carpet, Hindu Basket, etc. Looking forward to your thoughts.

I used one about six or seven years ago & it played well. A lot depends on your presentation & how you wish to use it.
I know one performer who still uses it & it gets a good response for him. If you were to purchase one from them, I would suggest talking with Greg about having a custom motif to suit your needs. The standard model they produce is somewhat...well...typical Abbott's. |

I am unfamiliar with this illusion. Could someone describe the effect for me? Thanks in advance!

Open "Illusions" on the left side of Abbott's website. Next, look down 6 illusions. You will see "Bryce’s Screen."

Jim Gerrish has a Bryce Screen Variation in his PVC Pipe Illusion Book 4, "Backdrop Illusion Screens" on my site. The article contains 4 easy to make illusions that can be used in the show, and then remain on stage to act as backdrops, if you wish.

Spellbinder, I did notice: "NEW! Book 4 Coming On Line!" Is it ready yet?

Yes, it is on-line. I guess I should take that "coming on-line" notice off, eh? It's as good as done!

It can also be used as a vanish, Abbotts has a testimonial dated 18 OCT 2007 about it's success as a vanish at their website. I would agree with M-Illusion to contact Greg at Abbotts for whatever you have in mind.
