I've used a b crimp since I've started in card magic. I have never been called on it. It's really not that noticeable. I guess it depends on how you put the work on it. It does fade after a while but I can always cut to it.
Magic is a vanishing art.

Anyway, I crimp (to the top) the ten of hearts, the first card in my memorized stack. For years I used to do the nine of diamonds, the first card in my previous mem-stack. As anyone who has used the BC knows, at a certain angle, under a certain light, one can see the bump. I have an out for this if anyone ever calls me on it: "Hmph, I guess someone bent it." OR: "Yeah, this dumb slut bent it. I told her, 'you're bendin-- you're bending my card -- stop. Stop. You're bendi-- geez, grandma."
Ellusionst discussing the Arcane Playing cards: "Michaelangelo took four years to create the Sistine Chapel masterpiece... these took five."
