If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

Thanks Jon I will look it up. I have gone mad on the Egyptian of late. I think there is going to be another big craze for Egyptian magic again soon. With this 2012 comming up a lot people have become interested in it all again.

Magic was a big part of their lives back then. Check out their spells on paper strips copied from books... much to explore there. And while they did not have cards per-se they did have a little checker/chess like game with pieces and something like dice.

Sorry I put the wrong link up there. Here is the direct link to the story.

They play a game in the story called Senet.

I agree... I tried translating the hieroglyphs from the illustration on the first link, and to the best of my ability, it's something like "Fresh Fish Sold Here Today"

WDI Magic, let me give you a tip: hieroglyphs don't read from the bottom up. Egyptians were wise and they had already figured out that otherwise their thoughts may never reach the head of some translators and stay at the bottom forcing them to speak through... (sorry I don't remember the word: my English has... holes)
