If you wear a wedding ring, another possible choice is to go to Michael's Arts and Crafts and buy a set of two 1/2 inch neo magnets for about $4.00. Works for Prohibition and probably other effects. It could be noticible under the ring, so you have to be careful. They also sell 1/4 inch magnets that would hide under your ring, but aren't powerful enough for some effects.
The advantage is that you can ditch the magnet while keeping the ring on. Sammy

An any ring PK gimmick is easy to make yourself. All you need is some thin strong wire and a 1/4" strong neo-I can't pronounce it. Use your head not your wallet. Stuff you make stays with you longer too.
You know why don't act naive.

"I can't recommend the Any Ring PK Gimmick enough. http://www.morfinmagic.com/Store.htm Very inexpensive, super versatile, and solves any breakage issues." This link gave very little product info. Is the m***** visible if you turn your hand face up? This seems to be the case with most homemade PKs. Has anyone had any luck with having a jeweler customize a normal ring into a PK? |

I tried wearing my PK ring all the time and I quickly wore the gold finish off. My wife suggested I treat my next one with clear nail varnish and it helps, but it still wears.
What I ended up doing instead is carrying my PK in my eye glass case and wearing a nearly identical real gold wedding band. When I think I might want to use it, such as at dinner, I'll excuse myself to the bathroom and do a quick switch
It is always darkest just before you are eaten by a grue.
